When I heard about the Tinkercad Student Design Contest I was excited to try out my new Tinkercad skills. I got my Tinkercad account after seeing my brother get his account and using it. We are both homeschooled, along with my younger brother and sisters. I'm sad that I can't share my designs with other people on Tinkercad, so this entry is a double win!

The Funny Bunny is a doll with movable limbs. I used the Tinkercad connectors to make this design move.

Supplies

Funny Bunny Part Models (see Step 1)
3D Printer (or you could order a print online or even try your local library!)

Step 1: Get the Design

In this step, you'll need to have the model for the 6 parts of the bunny:

Head
Torso
Left and Right arms
2 legs (they match)

Click the Download buttons below to put them on your computer. Once you have them all, you're ready for the next step!

Step 2: Slice It!

To make a 3D printer print a model for real, you need to do something called "slicing". I had my dad slice up my models. He turned some of them on their side, like the arm here. He said it was so that it could print better.

Step 3: Print It!

I started the Head printing first (my dad let me start the printer all by myself!) because my brother suggested that I should print the one most likely to fail first. I asked why but all he said was "Just do it" and I thought that was fine.

Step 4: Put It Together

Once the parts are printed (and you remove the extra support pieces the printer prints) you need to put them together. The head, arms, and legs snap onto the torso. Now you have the Funny Bunny!
