Step 1: Squeeze With Ease

If you are like me and can't find your juicer, then use this easy trick to juice your lemon and lime.
  1. Peel out the inside of the fruit.
  2. Put the fruit middle in the blender and puree for about 30 seconds.
Your result will be very pulpy juice with the seeds, but don't worry we will fix this in Step 3.

Step 2: Water and Sugar

In your blender:
  • Add 2.5 cups of cold filtered water and add 1/4 cup of sugar as well.
  • Have the blender mix the ingredients for 30 seconds.
  • Let the mixture settle for about 5 minutes before going to the next step.
Note: Foam at the top of this mixture will be strained out in the next step.

Step 3: Separate the Solids From the Liquids

So this set up will depend on what kind of colender you have. But basically you just:
  • Put the colender on top of the final juice pitcher like the picture shows.
  • Slowly pour the lemonade from the blender into the coldener which will go into the pitcher. Note: If you don't have a colender that rests stably on the lemonade pitcher, then you might want to have a helper hold the contraption in place while you pour.
Enjoy with some ice cubes and lemon and lime wedges for decoration!

Now, if you don't have any gadget. And you don't have electrricity, you can even then, do this...

    * Cut the lemmon/ lime in half through its 'ecuator'.

    * Stick a fork inside the soft part of its center and move it upwards and downwards until all the juice is out.

    * Perhaps you would prefer to put a clean cloth over a jar and pass the extracted juice through it to obtain a pure clean liquid.

    * The feel free to add the desired sugar and cold water. And stir for some minutes.

    * You could add some stripes of the lemon/lime out skin, without the white part of its inner part. That would add some blend to the mixture.
