Metal Can Letter

Looking for something to do with all those cans that you went through during the game so they don't end up in a landfill somewhere well try out this great craft make your own design so easily out of soda cans or any aluminum cans.

Step 1: Gather Your Cans

Gather up your leftover empty cans and make sure they are completely empty I would even wash them out with some tap water to get out any stickiness from soda or other beverage. After gathering them get a pair of tin snips, tin snips are ideal but a pair of strong scissors may work.

Step 2: Flatten Your Can

Flatten your cut can into a long strip remember aluminum cans are very forgiving so you can bend it in almost any way you would like but be careful of the edges as they will be sharp.

Step 3: Draw Design

Draw your design be as creative as you like you could do your favorite teams logo or their initial or whatever you like. We went with the letter "A" as it is part of "BARN" which was our main photo, but you can do whatever you like.

Step 4: Cut Your Design

Cut your design out of the flat sheet this is really simple just use your tin snips or scissors and just cut your outline.

Step 5: Get the Crimper

For some extra texture take a crimping tool and run your cut design through the crimper.

Step 6: After Crimping

It should come out something like this after crimping it but you may have to run it through a couple of times.

Step 7: Embellish

We chose just to leave it plain but you can paint your design or use the other side of the print on the can.
