Introduction: Paper Box

About: I am a person who just enjoys sitting down in their free time, listening to a podcast or some music, and making a variety of things.

Everyone needs a place to store things every once and a while. I used this box making technique in the 3rd grade when we made boxes for Valentines day and have used it at least once a year since then. This box making method is very simple and fast. Everyone can do it, as shown by a class of 3rd graders.

Enjoy!

Step 1: Supplies

All you need for this project is:

  • 2 pieces of paper
  • a ruler
  • scissors
  • a pencil
  • tape

Step 2: Fold

Take one of the pieces of paper and fold it in half and unfold it. Fold each side of the paper until it reaches the center. Then repeat, folding and unfolding it in half the other way.

Step 3: Damage Control

Fold the corners of the box in so that they look like the first image above. If any paper is sticking up, like it was in mine mark where it should be and cut. If it isn't, move on to the next step.

Step 4: Tape

Fold up the sides and apply tape to each one. Next, take the next piece of paper and repeat this process.

Step 5: Done!

As soon as you finish the previous step you have completed your box. Place the items you need to store into one of the boxes you made. Then place the other one securely inside the first box. If properly made the two sides should fit together securely and will be a little difficult to put together.
