Introduction: Princess Crown and Wand
We are going to make this adorable princess crown and matching wand, perfect for all the little princess out there.
Step 1: Supplies
For this project you will need very little, very inexpensive, supplies
- 2 yards of pink tinsel covered wire
- 12 yards of white curling ribbon
- 12 yards of pink curling ribbon
- Scissors
- plain white straw (or some sort of sturdy straw like object this will be the wand handle)
Step 2: Cut Supplies
Cut wire (measure using your child's head) and cut ribbon into six strands 2 yards each.
Step 3: Form Crown
Using your child's head as a guide form the circle of the crown wrapping excess wire around itself and add the six strands of ribbon to one side of the crown
Step 4: Curl Ribbon
Use scissors to curl the ribbon all the way down. this takes time and patience so if you don't get it the first time try again.
Step 5: The Crown Is Finished
Now that your crown is finished its time to do the wand
Step 6: Fold Wire
Fold wire in a zig zag pattern then connect on each end to a straw
Step 7: Finishing Touches
wrap each end around the straw securely you may want to add a dab of hot glue allowing it to dry completely before allowing a child to get a hold of it. you can also add some of the ribbon from the crown around the base to make it match exactly.
