Introduction: Raw Cranberry, Banana, Apricot, Spread

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.

In the middle 80's my family and I became vegetarians. I am not a vegetarian now but I am thinking about trying to do it again.  I need to do a little more research because one must consider the needs of the family.  It is important to have a well rounded diet.  I have been studying the raw diet.  I had to chuckle because I came across a website that mentioned the 555 plan.  The man mentioned if it included more than 5 ingredients and took more than 5 minutes to make it was not a true raw food diet.  I must say all of my recipes took longer than 5 minutes.  I suppose it was because I am still learning.  Anyway this is what I came up with for a spread.  We really liked it.  This is what I made from the pecan pulp from the pecan milk.  You use this spread in the place of butter or cheese.  https://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Make-Raw-Pecan-Milk/ . The wonderful thing about the base is you can make just about any flavor you want just by adding different spices.

Here is the original recipe :

1 C Base
1 T Agave
1/2 C Dried Cranberries
1/2 C Chopped Walnuts    I used pecans because I did not have raw walnuts.
I added a carrot, pecan, parsley, and cranberry garnish.

For the cranberry spread I made it as listed except I used pecans.
For the apricot I used  the base, apricots,  and added bananas.

Here is the site where I found it:  http://www.squidoo.com/pecanmilk .
