Part of DIY is problem solving. This just shows a way to make a spider. If I was going to make this without a welder I would probably use a chunk of wood to fit the legs into and add an extra bend so it could support the weight. It might work, it might not.

I could see this as a cheap way to film a plane crash One could also try using a strobe light I think it would also be interesting if you filmed a fan using this method.

I clicked on this instructible after looking at the Tiffany lamp (saw the thumb nail). I think the hand in front was a genius move. Every picture tells a story. The hand in front hides a part of that story creating a mystery. This adds a lot of depth to the picture by causing one to look a little deeper than a cursory glance. Great instructibles by the way.

This is great the only issue I have with making it is I live in a place where there are lots of spiders. Maybe if I added LED lighting to it and make it a different color.

My first thought was ooh another ramen recipe. Then I saw the title and thought Cake..that's cake? great jobOn a side note: In japanese culture, the only time chopsticks are vertical in a dish is when it is offered to the dead.

Nice build, if you added added a 3-5 sec delay it would be really fun in a midnight paintball game that way you could throw it without giving away your position, or you could add a tripwire
