Great job - next time you might want to consider using an I2C on the LCD - I like because it cuts back in the wires a lot and helps keep things neat

Any way cool little Instructable, I made something like it, for I too do not like pumps mine uses a solo kid to open/close the flow of water

The excess hardware is just for burning the bootloader correct? It can be removed once it has been "bootloaded".
