You can cook it in a non stick pot covered. Bring to a boil, reduce to low and cook for about 25 minutes

Well, this dish is meant to be served the right after cooking. As the cheese sits, it stiffens up. The noodles are boiled in the sauce for 9-11 minutes which is normal cooking time for the noodles. It was not pasty at all, the noodles also absorb a lot more flavor this way vs boiling them separately. Hopefully that helps. Hopefully you like it this weekend!
