Looks great. Watch out though - too many wine barrel chairs may lead to unprecedented relaxation.
Cardboard through a table saw sounds scary to me. I'd be afraid of it catching. A sharp utility knife cuts really well. You could make a rectangular jig out of wood and use it as your straight edge. If it was thin enough a rotary cutter like this might work really well.https://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-195210-1001-Comfort...

I am totally going to make one of these for my father and his wood pizza oven. Your drill press is also amazing.
Thank you. They are shockingly comfortable and sturdy too.
Thank you. I wish I could claim it was an original idea but I've seen them a couple times before.
Please share your results. This was my first go. I’m sure there are improvements to be made but I am very happy with ones I made. I would love to hear about improvements. I’m also continuously amazed by the creativity and helpfulness of people here. It is a great place to lear and be inspired.
One barrel should be able to make one chair. It was about 25 staves per chair. There are enough in a barrel for one chair and some leftovers. I think you could get an end table out of the remnants but I haven’t done it yet.
