This is a really nice idea to give as gifts! What is in soap base? I didn't know that you could buy an ingredient like that. It would definitely make soap making much easier, as you said!

Natural Lip Balm - 5 Ingredients
This is such a great idea! When the lip-balm sets in the tube, does it wind out easily once it sets, or can it get a bit stuck to the sides of the tube?
Well, I kind of made it. I was all ready to roll the roses, but I had made the wrong kind of pastry, so it just fell apart when I tried to roll the apple slices up. So from that, I found out that sweet shortcrust pastry doesn't work for this recipe. I decided to make a full tart instead with the same technique of adding jam (I used lemon) and the sugar mixture to the crust before putting the apples slices in the pie. It was a huge hit with my guests and tasted wonderful! I will definitely try to make the roses again, but use either puff pastry , or some kind of pastry without eggs in it next time. Thanks for the inspiration!

I too am a disciple of strawberry rhubarb pie. In my humble opinion, it is the best-tasting pie in the world. I will definitely try your tip of grating the butter. Just out of curiosity (as I live in Europe), what is European-style butter? Does it differ from regular butter?
Thanks for the information! I guess all butter in Europe is European-style butter then, so I don't have to look for anything special. :D :D
Classic Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
That's a name I hadn't heard of yet. I love it! It's describes the candy really well!

Felt Pencil Case
I love this case! Lucky I have a cat too, so I can go ahead and make it. LOL! I really like the detailing embroidery on the flowers and leaves.
Thanks I will! Is it OK if I add your temperature into the instructable? I think it would help a lot of people, since I can't stand beside them while they're cooking it and say, "yes, that's the colour it needs to be so that it works!" :D
That's such a cool idea! They really do look like eggs!
That looks great! I really like the idea of adding the salt flakes. It would help to cut the sweetness a bit. What temperature did you cook it to? I've always done it by eye as that's how my mother showed me how to make it, but it would be better to have a correct temperature: more fail-safe!
This looks so cool! I have a few pairs of jeans that seem to have unfortunately....ahem...."shrunk in the wash" over the last year, and I was wondering what I could do with them.
No, I hadn't seen it yet. That's an awesome idea too!

From Old Bedsheets to New Rugs
I absolutely love this idea! I also hate to throw things like sheets away. I've been using this method, on a smaller scale, with old t-shirts to crochet potholders, and oven-mitts, but I didn't think of doing it with sheets.
Rubber Band Powered Paper Arrow
My youngest son would adore making these arrows (and shooting them even more!). We'll have to give it a try!

The origami decoration really makes the lamp stand out. Beautiful!
These crystals look so much fun to make, and the pipe-cleaners are a great idea to give them interesting colours. I'll have to try it out with my kids!
