Based on the product description, it seems that it may work for the project but to be honest, i will recommend you buy a cheap chinese RC toy and extract the circuit from it. It will be much cost effective. At 12v the rpm will be very high, we will then need speed reduction gears to be able to control it. A 12v motor will also work with less voltage and provide less rpm. However, But the 3.7v 2000mAh battery i used is enough for motor to provide sufficient rpm for RC car.

You can use 2 Li-ion batteries (18650) connected in series. However, you will also need to add battery protection circuits to prevent any damage to the batteries.

Keep the primary to secondary turn ratio to be around 1:100 , it should work. Also make sure that you need to use good quality high current battery because a normal cheap chinese battery doesnot have enough current to power the project.

No, you don't need to control the current. The powerbank should be capable to supply enough current and the device only draws the current it needs.I connected four 2000mAh Li-ion batteries in parallel making a current capacity of 8000mAh or 8Ah.

Thanks...yes it can be powered by a battery. 18650 li-ion batteries provide good power but operating time & battery charging will be an issue. However, a charging circuit can also be made.

Yes any thin insulated wire can be used which doesn't restrict closing of the cell phone.
Yes, you are right....it would be wonderful and there are already many such products available in market.

Hello PayalA8, i think i can help you out in this. Can you tell me what exactly is the problem with the car??Has it stopped responding completely? Did both the motors stop working or it works sometimes??Looking at the picture, nothing seems broken...did it work on the first day and stopped working after the fall..??If yes, what did you do on it with the soldering kit because the wires in the picture are soldered. As i can see the PCB already has markings for all the components. It will be easy to identify the location of the components. We first need to begin the diagnostics of every component and voltage. I am not sure whether the problem is in receiver, transmitter, in some component or in the wiring.First insert the batteries in the car and check the voltage (using a multimeter) at the b…

Yes, i too think that a thick wire can help or you can make individual pieces and then using adhesive paste the foam pieces to make the box with required dimensions.
Yes, you are right. That is why it is important to use a TP4056 charging module with protection.
View Instructable »Yes, you are absolutely right. This foam cutter was a very raw attempt that i made but the next version will surely be much more improved.

Hello abhay06,I used a receiver circuit from an old broken RC toy. The receiver circuit mostly mentions the components to be connected. Have a look at the receiver circuit you will be using to find out where to connect all the components. You can also make your own circuit at home just by following a simple tutorial here- https://maker.pro/pcb/projects/remote-control-car/However, it is recommended to use a circuit from a cheap RC car.

Nope, its not about amperes. Its just a very small project and uses electromagnetic field to excite the electrons inside the neon and fluorescent lights. It doesn't actually transmit electricity.

Its about 1/3rd the price of a commercial market product. It performs much better than those and also, i had the flexibility to design it myself.I got the PCBA for about $19 and then around 2 hrs of work in design & construction.

Hello rjramos424, The concept behind this project is simple. When the battery is connected to a DC motor, it starts to rotate. Now, this project uses just two motors for moving in the three directions (not backward because it was not needed here). If you have read the instructable well, you might have already understood the concept. As here, both the motors are independently controlled by two switches. When the left motor moves clockwise the robot turns "RIGHT" and when right motor moves clockwise, the robot turns "LEFT". When both the motors moves clockwise, the robot runs "FORWARD".

Hi vidyam4,For making a car wireless, you need a wireless receiver and transmitter module. This module should be used to control the car with a remote.I have made a wireless remote control car as well, have a look - https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Make-a-Remote-Control-Car/
- Techgenie commented on Techgenie's instructable How to Make Electric Foam CutterView Instructable »
The concept is quite simple. A nichrome has a great property that on supplying current, it acts as a high resistance load. Also, nichrome wire gets heated to a very high temperature quickly when applying current through it.
- Techgenie commented on Techgenie's instructable How to Make a Mobile PowerBankView Instructable »
No, a 12v battery cannot be charged with TP4056 module. Also, 12v battery doesnt need a boost converter. If you want to use a single 12v battery. You need a 7805 voltage regulator IC to convert it to 5v and also a heat sink over the regulator to absorb extra heat.
- Techgenie commented on Techgenie's instructable How to Make a Mobile PowerBankView Instructable »
The design you showed seems good but the batteries cannot be charged with a 5v mobile adapter because the two batteries connected in series have resultant of 7.4v 4000mah current(two such piar makes it 7.4v, 8000mAh), for this you atleast need a 9v 2A power adapter to efficiently charge all the 4 batteries in around 5 hrs. Also, there is no over-discharge protection.

Ohh yes, this is a great idea, paper will surely help to glue more reliably.
That's great #bbqrooster. I am glad i could be of help. Its good that at this point only the contact cleaner was enough. However, now, you even know the next step, if ever needed.

Yes, SIN1T2, it seems like a great tip to use gears and shafts but the motor from a printer has very low rpm, it takes quite a long time to wrap the coil.

Yes, you can but then you also need to use a heat sink with 7805 voltage regulator because it will get hot and can burn out.
