im just me ,free thinking, on no ones side, ,hate television ,love music ,hate the city in which i live, love mountains ,love animals specially my dogs and kids (yes there animals) and nature, freedom and peace and quite and fresh air and sunshine.am stuck on this self sufficiency idea. I always have too many projects going on at once-right now vw beetle rebuild ,isuzu 4 ton floor rebuild ,greenhouse stage 3, crossbow, composite wood bowl experiments, survival kit/stick,lead molding ceramic exp…

  • just do not try using chillies...

works on the little boys dangly bits too....

  • JUST AN INTERESTING ANTEDOTE...some early aircraft of the ww1 era had no throttle controls to the engine...the engine was either on full power or off...speed was controlled by switching the engine on and off....blimping I think they called it....very early very crude pwm....

  • THANKS MR WANG....already have new uno....and have recently purchases the dr robot bluno mega...would however like to salvage what I can from the fried uno....if the chip is still good its highly possible to easily rebuild.....

  • never seen or heard of polymorph....looks very interesting...will check if I can found it down south here in darkest deepest Africa....

is it in any way possible to drive two steppers of one motor shield?

and I assume that if you wish to drive two motors you require two motor drives?.....I have a motor shield ..also another motor driver..not sure which one....will have to experiment......is it feasible to do a two wheel drive tracked tank chassis using stepper motors?.....I have two really large...23....stepper motors....I assume that this will be very slow moving but quite powerful...

  • any idea why the mega got hot to start with?.....I have the same problem with my uno.....will not download...gets hot when plugged into the usb....and after a while the light go really dim.... ..however the last program I loaded still runs when plugged into battery power...so I assume the chip is still functioning fine....so I figure ill diy a uno someday...

  • cool robot...and an interesting read....I recently purchased a bluno mega and am doing some research and experimenting with building tracked chassis...the possibilities are endless....thanks for this instructable...you've got my brain into overdrive...

  • i have an idea of setting up an array of sensors in front of the turret that holds the paintball gun....when the sensors are activated by movement they transmit to the turret which hones into the sensor......tracking the sensors is a lot less complicated than tracking the actual target as you know without a doubt where the sensors are .....mount the paintball gun on a rubber flexible mount so it is not to stable and not very accurate and carpet bomb the general area of the activate sensor.......very much like pre targeting an artillery barrage....

and if you load the paintgun with paint ,solid, rubber and pepperball you can deny your opponent from entering specific areas....

  • indeed...but three of these items all playing independently but in tandem begin to resemble something more sophisticated.....

  • and of course a paintball or even a real firearm could be rigged up in the same way....getting the gun to track a live moving target is a lot more complex however...

you should make it so that it switches itself back on again....then it can keep on being useless until it runs out of power...

  • when I was an appy i welded a spanner to two terminals of a 24 v truck battery with my hand stuck underneath.....it got really hot and very unpleasant and painful very quickly....I still have the semi melted spanner 30 years later which I keep as a reminder never to do such a silly thing again...

not bad considering its 72000 years old.....they just don't make em like they used to...rock and roll an all...

  • i have been thinking about it...and better still....use a multiple selector switch between various independent circuits containing different resistors and potentiometers...each oscillator then becomes a multiple synth...ive played with some software synths on frootloops and most seem to consist of two oscillators and a low frequency oscillator....a question.....is it possible to generate your source tone using different frequency crystal oscillators?

this is where my mind is....multiple selector switch between multiple crystal oscillators connected to multiple selector switches between various circuits containing various potentiometers and resistors?....output...just thoughts..

check out a song called being boiled by the human league...the original track was recorded in 1978 and was one of the very first completely electronic recordings...there is this kind of electronic feedback in the background that sounds like electronic wind...its subtle but really fascinating to listen to..

if I built 3 of these all slightly differently....ie different resistors and different potentiometers....and played 2 of them through the third?...and 2 sets of 3 through another?...etc etc...I imagine you could expand this concept unlimited..

  • and...of course the more sensors you add the better it will detect...why not sensors all the way around?....just a thought.
