I start by leaving some wire free on one end, about 6 inches or so, and then I detach the rest of the wire from the spool. Just try to keep the wire from tangling too much in the process of making. I don't tie off the ends, I simply loop them through the same triangle tube formation a couple of times and then snip off the excess. I hope this answers some of your questions!
Absolutely! One of the beauty of geodesic designs is that you can customize it into different configurations. Just add another tubing when you are making the second part of the cat ears instead of connecting it to the first ear. I would also recommend adding another set of combs. Let me know how it turns out!
Thank you. I hope to post another Buckminister Fuller-inspired baseball cap that I'm prototyping for another competition soon!
Thank you! I hope to post a Himmeli baseball hat for another competition soon.
Thank you so much.
I really dislike it when designers charge 300 dollars for something that costs 30 dollars to make. Sure, you are charging for the design but 100% markup? That's why I love Instructables and Open Source DIY projects!
