Hi D6, the sode refer to the terminals or pins dedicated for 3.3v logic level. When you look at a logic level converter board you will get one set of terminals for all 5v and the opposite will be terminals for 3.3v. The ESP TX and RX should go to the 3.3v logic terminals not the 5.5v terminals.
