Introduction: Acupressure Foot Massager Using River Rocks and 2x4s
Problem:
Sore feet, and strangely enough there are not many people that like rubbing feet.
Solution:
use river rocks to apply focused pressure to different parts of your feet to massage away the pain
Materials:
river rocks (about 2" - 4")
2x4s
glue
screws
tools:
table saw
wood clamps
drill with philips tip
Step 1:
Find and collect river rocks
Step 2:
put river rocks in bucket and clean with hose
Step 3:
dry river rocks on towel
Step 4:
get 2x4s, wood glue, and screws
Step 5:
cur 2x4s to length, I cut mine to about 18"
Step 6:
glue edge of 2x4s
Step 7:
clamp 2x4s
Step 8:
glue and clamp 2x4 borders
at first I thought I would have to use two levels of 2x4, but 1 level turned out to be high enough
Step 9:
screw border in place and put rocks in
use in socks or bare feet (I use socks)
my feet used to hurt regularly, but now they don't, its been 3 weeks since I started using this and it works great so far
I turn in a circle when using it
I made it at TechShop

It feels great afterwords, very relaxed and happy feet; but during its like a strong foot rub which some people may find uncomfortable.
I was surprised how pleasant it looks, the variations of color, shape and size give a natural flowing appearance to the smoothed rocks.
