Boho-chic Necklace

Summer is here! The dream of wearing the summer outfit will finally come true! That beautiful dress, your beach clothes, sandals...

Make your outfit look fashionable and bohemian with this beautiful boho-chic necklace.

The good thing about making it yourself is that you can choose the color you like the most and match it with your clothes. The materials are very easy to find (probably you have most of them at home) and the cost is very low.

Be creative and enjoy!

Step 1: Gather the Materials

You will need:

• yarn / nylon string (you can also use cotton but nylon has a smoother look)
• one big bead per tassel
• small beads
• jewelry wire
• wire cutters (or scissors), round nose pliers and chain nose pliers

Step 2: Wrap Yarn Around Hand or Cardtock

Depending on the size of the tassel and the thickness of the yarn will be the number of times you need to wrap the yarn. For a small-medium tassel it will be around 20 times, for a larger tassel 35 times.

Step 3: Insert Wire

In order to keep the yarn together before cutting it, insert jewelry wire in the middle of it and cut it around 1 in / 2.5cm.

Step 4: Hold and Twist Wire

With the help of the chain nose pliers hold and twist the wire tightly.

Step 5: Tie Top of Tassel

Cut a piece of 6 inch / 15 cm yarn and tie top of the tassel snugly (with one end). Wrap the remaining yarn around tassel 5 times. Tie and cut.

Step 6: Trim Tassel Ends

Ensure that the ends looks smooth and evenly.

Step 7: Add the Big Bead

Add the big bead in the jewelry wire. Make a loop with the wire on top of the bead.

Step 8: Attach Tassel to the Necklace

Use jewelry wire or elastic to insert the smaller beads. Add the tassel.

Step 9: Be Creative and Enjoy!

Add as many tassels as you like to your necklace in the color and size you like!
