Introduction: Bride and Groom Clothespin Favor

About: Synth chick for electro-rock band, Former Human Beings

It's wedding season! Make your own sweet little wedding favors or guest name card holders on the cheap. I've made these for my friend's throwback wedding, and yes, I guess I'm cheap! ;) Paint a clothespin as the bride on one side, the groom on the other, then pinch it to cause them to make out. Ah, PDA! Hang them out to dry!

You will need:

  • 1 wooden clothespin
  • paintbrushes
  • white paint
  • black paint
  • fine tip black marker
  • fine tip red marker
  • scissors
  • white tissue paper
  • white tulle
  • glue
  • mini flower sticker

Step 1: Let's Get Dressed

Paint the groom's shirt and bride's gown on in white. Paint on the groom's black tux.

Step 2: Face It

Use your black marker to draw on their eyes, giving the missus longer eyelashes. Give her some red lipstick while you're at it.

Step 3: Details, Details

Give him a little black bowtie, and adorn her with a string of white pearls using a dotting motion with a fine brush.

Step 4: Veil Her Up

Cut out a long teardrop shaped piece of tissue paper for the bride's veil and glue it to the back of her head. Give it a trim, however you please. Glue on a similar sized shape of tulle on top of the tissue paper. Stick on the floral piece.

Step 5: You May Now Kiss the Bride!

Pinch it!
