Introduction: Bushcraft Leather Belt Kit
Badass stuff deserves Badass envelopment, right ? Well this is my low budget version of my Bushcraft Leather Belt Kit.
I really need where to carry my Camping Knife and my awesome Fire box and leather its the perfect material to do it. I really love the old and messy look that show my Bushcraft leather Kit.
Im not a Leather working expert so I let the pictures shows the whole process.
Step 1: Gathering Old Leather and Making Tools.
Letaher, nowadays has become a rare material to find. I found in my grannys home an old leather seat from an old chair and a pair of my son's leather shoes. Fair enough stuff to begin.
There are some leather working tools that I had to improvise with a broken bolt and a stainless steel fork.
The largest piece of leather have some 30 years so before start to work I soaked in warm water.
Step 2: Leather Bottle Hanger.
I improvised a Bottle hanger from an old pair of leather shoes.I disassamble the whole thing and started to imrovise stitching the pieces.
Step 3: Knife Sheat.
I used a large piece of leather for the knife sheat. I sanded the edges and glued them, then I did insert some rivets along the edge and for the belt hanger I cutted a piece of leather and a Bronze ring .
Step 4: Hatchet Sheat.
I did the same process before. Sand the edges, glued them and some rivets along.
Step 5: Fire Box Sheat.
The Fire Box Sheat was the hardest to build, because it needed stitches and riveting.I had to improvise a Hole pinches tool with a stainless fork and it worked just fine. The sheat was built with 5 pieces of leather.
The largest piece was a 15x40 cms. the two lateral sides of 3x12 cms, and the back strapples :3x8 cms.
Im not a Leather working expert so I let the pictures shows the whole process
Step 6: Ready to Rock !
I love how it looks in my belt. That rustic and messy style its just perfect. This is weight that I dont need in my bag when Im on the mountains. Now I have to prove it in the wild.
I hope you like this Ible if so let me know in the comments below and please share some love voting in the Leather Contest.
