Introduction: Caribbean Fish Tacos

About: I am a Makeup Artist, crafter, party lover and mother.

This recipe will either take you to your memories or your dreams in a hammock at a beautiful beach. This fish tacos are crispy and full of flavor. This recipe is for 20 fish tacos, enough to feed 4 hungry people.

Step 1: Ingredients

7 fish steaks (i've used mojarra and tilapia but you can use your favorite type)

4 medium size tomatoes

1/2 onion

salt and pepper to taste

20 tortillas

40 toothpicks

Step 2: Cook the Fish

Place the fish in a cooking pot with enough water to cover them. Let it boil for around 20 minutes or until they look perfectly cooked.

Drain them and put them in a bowl.

Use a fork to smash them. This is very easy when the fish are still hot.

Step 3: Chop

Chop the onion and tomato in little squares. I personally like the onion in smaller pieces than the tomato but you can do it as you like the most.

Step 4: Cook

Put the onion in a pan with a little oil. When it is a little cooked (like 4 minutes later) place the tomato and stir. Let it cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly. When it's ready put the fish in the pan and mix well.

Add salt and pepper to taste and let it cool down.

Step 5: Make the Tacos

Warm the tortillas for 1 minute in the microwave.

Put the fish we made in the middle of the tortilla using a spoon. Make sure it doesn't reach the edge.

Fold the tortilla in half and put one toothpick on each side to hold it closed.

Step 6: Fry

Fry them in a pan with oil for 2 minutes for each side.

Step 7: Serve

Take the toothpicks off and serve when they are still warm.

They go great with sliced tomato and avocado!

You'll feel the sand in your feet when you get the first bite!
