Introduction: Chocolate Monkey Meal Replacement Smoothie

About: I work in the mental health field as therapist in a residential treatment program. I also have a duel career in health and wellness doing massage and personal exercise training. My hobbies which spill over in…

The Chocolate Monkey is my version of a meal replacement smoothie that is very healthy and very tasty. There are variations I have done with coffee and different fruits, but this one is the one I made today and it was tasty.

Smoothies are a great way to make a tasty and nutritious meal. My wife usually make two and split them into those blender bottles (pictured) and that is our lunch. It is super fun to try new combinations and they are so healthy as long as you avoid added sugars and other process stuff.

Stick with all natural and add leafy greens. You can add 1/2 to a whole bag of spinach and it doesn't add anything to taste but makes it super healthy.

Step 1: Ingredients

2 Bananas

2-4 dates

1/2 a bag of Spinach

1 cup of almond milk

raw cacao powder

Peanut butter

1 cup of Frozen strawberries or Mango

Step 2: Add All Ingredients to the Blender

Start with the dates, spinach and the bananas.

Then add the raw caca and the peanut butter.

Pour the almond milk over all.

Step 3: Blend

Blend it up.

Vitamix recommends flipping the on switch turning up to 10, blending then quickly turning it back down to 1 then off.
