Introduction: Chocolate Caramel Shortbread ( Millionaire's Shortbread)

This recipe is very cool and easy. Eventough it seems hard, it isn't, but it has some steps.
With a little bit of patient and will you'll make a delicious dessert or snack to satisfy your craves for sweets.

Let's start!

Step 1: Ingredients

Ingredients
   - Shortbread
       - 115gr of butter
       - 175gr of all purpose-flower
       - 55gr caster sugar

   - Filling
       - 175 gr butter
       - 115gr sugar
       - 3 tbsp golden syrup
       - 400gr condensed milk

  - Topping
     - 200gr chocolate ( dark and/or white)

Step 2: Shortbread

Pre-heat the oven to 180ºC ( 350ºF).
Grease and line a 23cm / 9inch square cake tin.

Place the butter, sugar and flower in a food processor and combine until it forms a dough.
I f you don't have a food processor, soften the butter a bit and combine it with your hands until a big ball is formed.

Spread the dough in the tin and bake it for about 20 minutes, or until it's golden.

Step 3: Filling

Heat a saucepan in low heat. Put the condensed milk, sugar, butter and goplden syrup in the pan and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Bring to a simmer for 6-8 minutes and reduce the heat.
Let it cook without stop stirring, until it becomes thick.
Take from the heat and let it cool a little bit.
Pour it over the shortbread and cool it in the fridge until it sets.

Step 4: Topping and Eat!

For the topping you just have to melt the chocolate and pour it over the shorbread and caramel.
Cool it until it is set.
You can leave it out of the fridge, but I prefer it cold, but it's your choice.

I hope you like it and have fun!
