Introduction: Clay Pumpkins
A tutorial of how to make super easy polymer clay pumpkins! They are penny sized and adorable! These can be great season decorations and a fun craft around the fall holidays.
Step 1: Materials
- Orange Clay
- Green Clay
- Toothpick or clay tool (but fingernails work just fine)
Step 2: Get Pumpkin Ball
First, roll out your orange clay into a small ball. The size of this ball will determine the size of your pumpkin. Then, using your fingernail or tool, cut troughs down from the center top of your pumpkin.
Step 3: Add Stem
Now, take a piece of green clay and roll it into cylinder about a third of the height of your pumpkin. Meld it on to the top center of your pumpkin. It should now look like a stem.
Step 4: Add Vine
Now that you have your stem, take another piece of green clay and roll it out long. Attach one end to the stem of the pumpkin and, using your fingers, twirl the vine up into a spiral shape. This step is unneeded, but it makes the pumpkin look much more realistic.
Step 5: Finished!
You are now finished with your clay pumpkin! Follow the baking instructions of your clay. Be careful baking your clay. Now that you know how to make the simple clay pumpkin, have fun and experiment!
