Introduction: Color Your Glass Jar!

Great for ever and anything you can think of!

Step 1: Ingredients

Mod podge
Food coloring of your choice
Water
Jar
Tin foil

I used a pickle jar but this works amazing with mason jars as well.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees

Step 2: Mix in a Plastic Cup

For mason jars mix 2 teaspoons of mod podge and 10 drops of your food coloring for each jar

I used a pickle jar so i mixed 4 teaspoons of mod podge and still 10 drops of food coloring.

Step 3: Pour

Pour your awesome mixure into the glass/glasses.

Rotate the glass until every inch on the inside is covered. If the glue doesn't move as quickly add a pinch to a teaspoon of water to the glass and continue to rotate until fully coated.

Once this is done flip it upside down and rest on a paper plate. The extra coloring will leak out. This is good.

Step 4: Cookie Tray

Place a layer of tin foil over the cookie tray. And place the jar - still upside down onto the tray. Place into the oven for 3-4 minutes.

Step 5: Flip

Remove the jar and whip the excess glue off from around the rim.

Place a clean sheet of tin foil over the cookie tray and flip the jar so it is now right side up.

Place back into the oven and bake for 30-60 minutes.

(My pickle jar ended up being 40 minutes)

Step 6: Remove

Remove from oven and let it cool.

Step 7:

Step 8: Cool

Let it sit and cool off..

Pretty isnt it! :) now you can use it as a vase or decorate it how ever you wish!

If you zoom in you can see the glue lines on this jar... Which means i used too much glue.

This was a trial run for me. Hope it helps you!

Have fun dying jars!

Step 9: Decorate

I made mine into a piggy bank for loose change.

Step 10: Mod Podge

Mod podge is great and dries quickly. Best glue for crafts.
