I've never played portal before, but my friend snarklow had told me about It so I looked it up on the internet. Then I saw the companion cube and I loved the way it looked. Then I thought.....Hey!! think I could make one of those..............

Step 1: Supplies

1: scissors
2: light gray yarn (red heart)
3: dark gray yarn (I used craftsmart yarn from michaels)
4: light pink yarn
5: light pink felt (to match the light pink yarn)
6: stuffing
7: yarn needle
8: glue gun or needle an thread
9: H/8-5.00mm crochet hook

Step 2: Base

This is going to be the sides to the whole cube. So you have to make 6 sides from this pattern

Use dark gray yarn

Row 1: ch 2, sc 12 in the second ch from the hook.
Row 2: ch 1, sc 2 in each
Row 3: ch 1, sc 1 sc 2 sc 1, repeat
Row 4: ch 1,-----(corner) sc 1 dc 1 sc 1 (in one stich)-----sc 1 in the next 7. Repeat
Row 5: ch 1, sc 4 in one stich. Then sc 1 until you reach the next corner. Repeat until you reach where you started. Tie off yarn

Step 3: Light Gray Pieces

Rectangle (make twelve)

Row 1: ch 5, sc 1 in each ch
Row 2: ch 1, sc 1 in each sc until the end. Tie off

Circle (make six)

Row 1: ch 2, sc 12 in the second ch from the hook
Row 2: ch 1, sc 2 in each of the pervious sc. Tie off yarn

The star corner thing (make eight)
(This is a little harder to explain so hang in there)

Row 1: ch 2, sc 7 in the second ch from the hook.
Row 2: ch 2, dc 1, ch 2 and sl, repeat two more times

Step 4: Putting It Together

First sew on the circles on each side. Then the corners. Then the middle pieces. And then the light pink thread connecting from the middle pieces. Then hot glue/sew on the pink felt hearts <3

Step 5: Done!!
