Introduction: DIY 2 Ingredient Blackhead Treatment

All you need for this at-home acne treatment is baking soda and water. Yup, 2 ingredients that make a big difference. It is easy to make and makes no mess. These ingredients can be easily found at home and even if you don't have the ingredients, you can get them for cheap. All you need to do is mix the ingredients and voila! You begin to see results within a week. I like to use this treatment two to three times a week after I have washed my face. This treatment is semi harsh so make sure to not overuse. It is great for exfoliating and reaching into your pores to rid the bacteria inside. Baking soda is known to help balance the skin's pH, which helps reduce breakouts. It works for me and hopefully it'll work for you.

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

All you will need for this DIY is :

- (About) one healthy Tb. of baking soda

- (About) one tb. of water

- A mixing container (nothing big)

- A mixing utensil (I like to use a never used, clean toothbrush because I also use it to apply the treatment. You can use whatever you would like to mix with as long as it is clean since this will be coming in semi-contact with your skin)

I use about because I usually eyeball the measurements. I use these measurements for a gritty liquid. The more baking soda you use the harsher the treatment.

Step 2: Mix

All you need to do is mix! I mixed with a new and unused toothbrush witch I like to use to apply. Once again I go for a grittier, sandier, liquid. This consistency works best for me the you can alter the consistency to your preference.

Step 3: Apply and Enjoy!

Yup! As easy as that! Like i said earlier I like to apply with a toothbrush because I find it helps exfoliate even more. If you have tender/sensitive skin, I do not recommend to apply with a toothbrush and instead a cosmetic brush or clean hands. I like to cover my nose in the treatment because that is where my blackheads are mostly. Make sure to use this treatment only on underground acne like blackheads when scrubbing. I like to leave this treatment on for 2-3 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Leave it on as long as 5 minutes but make sure to leave it on for just long enough for it to really do the dirty work. But that is it! You can store this treatment in your refrigerator for up to 5 days. Enjoy!
