Introduction: DIY: Glam Seasonal Tea Lights

About: I'm a hippie flower child who loves Led Zeppelin, music in general (seriously though, I'll listen to anything! <3) nature, summertime, and thunderstorms. :)

Hey, y'all! I know it's been a while since I last posted a DIY here. But I'm back! Let's get into this. :D

Are you outraged at the idea of paying $5 for some glittery tea lights at the store?

Do you wish there was a better way to have festive tea lights without breaking the bank?

Well, this DIY is exactly what you need! ;)

Step 1: Materials to Shine

For this DIY, you'll need:

-Mod Podge

-Clear sealer

-Washi tape

-Flameless tea light

-Paint brush

-Glitter in the appropriate seasonal colors

-Paint in the appropriate seasonal colors

Step 2: Masking Your Identity

Heh. I've missed making witty titles!

Mask off the little flame on the top with some washi tape. This protects it from any paint or glitter that might try to stick to it.

Step 3: Masking Your True Colors

Now grab your paint, paint brush, and masked off tea light. Add a thin layer of paint and let it dry thoroughly.

Step 4: We All Need a Little Sparkle

;)

Sparkle makes everything better, y'all. Trust me on this one. Haha.

Grab your glue, brush, and glitter. Add a thin layer of Mod Podge to your candle and sprinkle on some glitter. I'm doing black here because it's close to Halloween. Let it dry totally. Paint over the glitter with another layer of Mod Podge and let dry, then add a second layer of glue and glitter. Paint over it again with more glue, then let dry and add your sealer.

Enjoy your festive new tea lights! :D

These beauties can be made for any season, just switch out the paint and glitter colors for the holiday you're celebrating. Flameless tea lights can be found anywhere and they're not terribly expensive. Happy creating, y'all!
