Keeping everything organized is quite difficult. Making boxes, bags and cases are the best storage when it comes to keeping craft and stationary supplies organized.

This can be a great and fun project for the kids to try out this summer, besides stationary case can be really useful for the kids.

Check out the tutorial and give it a try!

Step 1: Materials Needed

To make this stationary case you'll need:

  1. Vinyl fabric or faux leather
  2. Needle and thread or sewing machine
  3. Scissors
  4. Zipper
  5. Ruler or measuring tape
  6. Marker or chalk.

Step 2: Getting Started

Cut out a square piece from the vinyl. The size of the cut out piece would depend on your choice or on the required size for the case. You can use the longest pencil for the size measurement, so that it fits in perfectly.

Once you've prepared the fabric take the zipper.

Place the zipper on a flat surface and then place the square vinyl piece on the zipper making sure that their edges match. Also make sure to keep the vinyl fabric piece with its wrong side facing up.

Sew along the side to attach the zipper with the fabric piece.

Step 3: Attaching the Zipper

Turn the zipper attached vinyl fabric piece to the right side and unzip half of
the zipper. It's very important to keep the zipper half open otherwise it'll be difficult to turn the right side out when you're done sewing the case.

Bring up the other side (opposite side to the zipper attached side of the vinyl fabric) of the vinyl fabric towards the zipper's other edge (see pictures for instructions).

Hold the other edge of vinyl fabric adjacent to the zipper's edge.

Sew along the other edge to attach the zipper with the fabric.

Step 4: Completing the Case

Bring the zipper to the middle and use your hand to flatten the case (see the first picture of this step).

Carefully sew along both open ends to form the case.

Cut off extra sides of the zipper from both sides.

Step 5: Turning the Right Side Out

Now final step, turn the right side of the case out through the open area of the zipper.

Turn out the corners of the case as neatly as possible. Use something pointy to turn out the corners.

There done!

Keep your stuffs organized and happy crafting!
