Hello everyone, here is a fun and delicious idea that can be used for tea parties, Mother's day, or any other ladies event. Imagine the look on people's faces when you tell them that the dessert for your event is sitting right in front of them in the flower pot. I will also give you some suggestions that you can use for kids parties. But before we go any further, did you know that many flowers are edible? Step 1: Ingredients

1 Box chocolate pudding
1 3/4 cup milk
2-3 oreos

Other items needed: terra cotta pot, measuring cup, mixing bowl, wisk, rolling pin (or other object to crush oreos), and small sandwich bag.

Step 2: Clean Your Pot.

Wash your pot thoroughly with soap and water and dry well.

Step 3: Choose Your Flower(s)

Pick some fresh flowers and rinse thoroughly. Violets are particularly lovely and nice for they palate (I just didn't have any on hand).

Step 4: Make Your Mud.

Empty chocolate pudding mix into your bowl. Add 1 3/4 cup of milk (or a little bit less if you want it thicker). Wisk for 1 minute. Put the bowl into the fridge while you work on the next step.

Step 5: Prepare Your Dirt.

Seperate 2 or 3 oreos and remove the filling. Set the filling aside. Place cookies in plastic baggie and crush with a rolling pin or other hard object. Once well crushed pour the crumbs into a container. For a larger pot you will need to crush more oreos.

Step 6: Fill Your Pot With Mud.

Take your small sandwich bag and open it up. Carefully press it into the pot making sure it is open as far as it will inside. Remove your pudding from the fridge and carefully spoon into the pot. Leave about 1/2" space to put in the dirt. Carefully trim the excess plastic from around the edge of the pot.

Step 7: Finish Filling and Plant Your Flower.

Carefully scoop your crushed oreo into your pot and fill to the top. Carefully place your flower(s) in the dirt. If you are not going to use immediately place in the fridge until ready to use.

*Update* It was recommended to me that you cover your stem with plastic wrap before planting so as to avoid bacteria growth.

Step 8: Other Ideas

Unfortunately I did not have time to get pictures of these but here are a couple of more ideas that you can do with this project. The first thing is to put your potted flower into a teacup instead of pot. This can be served alongside a lovely salad with greens and fresh flowers. Or you can use a much larger pot or clear vase and use as a centerpiece for your table (you can use an artificial plant on a bigger scale, just wash the stem thoroughly). For a boy's birthday buy small buckets from the Dollar Tree and fill with your mud mixture. Add gummy worms and rock candies (you can find them on Amazon) to the top.
