Fast, Easy, Non-Braiding, Princess Crown Updo

Do you want to have a fun, interesting hairstyle, but don't know how or don't want to braid? Then this is the perfect one for you. Depending how perfectionistic you are, this style can be done in seconds, or a few minutes.

Note: This style was done on an American Girl doll, but you can do it on yourself or a human friend.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

You'll need:

- a hair brush(wire wig brush for AG dolls)

- bobby pins (one or two for dolls, more for people)

Optional:

- hairspray for people

- detangler for people

- water for dolls

Step 2: Prepare the Hair

Optional: Dampen the hair, with water for dolls, and detangler for people.

Brush the hair gently from the bottom to the top.

Step 3:

Take a small section of hair from the left side of the head, beside the part. Start twisting it counterclockwise, crossing over the part, adding small sections of hair as you go. Make sure you take hair from the hairline only!

Step 4:

Continue twisting and adding hair, all the way to the beginning of the twist. Twist the remaining hair, and pin the end of the hair into the twist. Pin until secure, and if it's a person you're working on, spray with hairspray. If it's a doll, spray with water.
