Flowers Out of Recycled Plastic Bottles. Before and After

I love to give a second live to plastic bottles.

I am working on a project related with a garden made out of recycled plastic bottles.

I do not know for sure how it will be. Meanwhile, I'm working on small prototypes.

I've made plants, trees and several different types of flowers. This one is a kind of rose. The bottles determine the color. I made them red, pink and white.

Step 2: We Will Need:

• 1 Plastic bottle
• 1 Clothes hanger or wire (green if possible)
• Scissors
• Cutter
• Pliers
• Kitchen torch
• Glue gun

Step 3: Cutting the Bottle 1

We will have to cut the bottle and remove the top and bottom of it.

Step 4: Cutting the Bottle 2

After cutting the top and the bottom of the bottle, we cut again in order to obtain a rectangle

We will cut a circle, and we'll make a spiral with it

Step 5: Shaping the Flower 1

With the pliers, we will roll up the spiral from the outside towards the inside

Step 6: Shaping the Flower 2

With a cooking torch, we will apply heat to the plastic.

Be careful, do not burn the plastic. The material will take shape and become hard

Step 7: Putting the Stem to the Flower

The stem of the flower is a green wire. We can use a clothes hanger.

We will put the wire in the inside part of the flower, and apply glue with the glue gun

Step 8: Before and After of the Plastic Bottle

The plastic bottle was not so big (33cl), and we could make two flowers out of it.
