Introduction: Flat Wood Drill Bits Organizer

if you keep your drill bits and alike in a box. it takes forever to find the correct one....

so i made a nice Holder to keet all in one place nice and organized.

Step 1: Materials & Tools

one piece of pine wood 1 1/2" by 13" long by 1/2" Tool Holder or Body

one piece of MDF 1/4 " by 10" by 9" back

one piece of Ply 2" by 13" by 1/8" for the back of the tool holder

one piece of Ply 2" by 13" by 1/4" Base

one piece of wood 13" by 1/8" by 1/4" Trim

Circular table, Drill,Drill bits, Glue, Screws, Clamps,

Bench Drill,

Step 2: Drill Holes

Drill holes on the outside edge of the wood. 1 1/2" apart

then drill holes on the inner part of the wood see picture.

Glue Base to bottom of MDF

glue the 2"x13" to the back of the tool holder. the wood with all the holes......

Step 3:

Place theTool Holder or Body in this case, somewhere in the middle of the MDF and glue it in place.

Step 4:

Note the tool holder has a round edge. clean and cover tools with a light coating of bee wax

this will protect them from moisture and corrosion.

Go and make something.

Good idea! I made one similarly, but put a "VEE" groove in the holder where the holes are, and let the bit's body drop down into it. That way they all face the same direction and you can use that back row of holes.
