Introduction: Funky Rug or Trivet From an Old Sheet

I love to reuse and repurpose . So here is an idea what you can do from an old flat sheet. You can use any old clothes or towels for this project.

Supplies

Old flat sheet, pieces of fabric and ribbon for trimming, hot glue gun.

Step 1:

Cut your sheet in to long ribbons. Tie the end of the first one with a thread.

Step 2:

Start twisting the ribbon around and glue it with a hot glue gun. You can stop at the size of trivet or continue to the size of a rug.

Step 3:

Make the rug as big as you want. I used the whole sheet for mine. Decorate it as you wish. You can add a trim or just leave it as it is.
