How to Make Cannabis Tincture for Edibles

Easy steps to make your own cannabis tincture.

Everclear
Cannabis

Step 1: Active Your Cannabis

1. Destem the buds and break them down into smaller pieces.

2. Place the buds on a baking sheet with parchment paper and cover with foil

3. Place in the oven at 240 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 2: Grind Cannabis Flower

1. Once the buds are done in the oven, grind them using a small blender.

2. Place in plastic container and store for later use or continue to the next step to make cannabis tincture.

Step 3: Add Everclear

1. Place cannabis in glass Mason jar.
2. Pour everclear into the jar covering the cannabis.
3. Place lid on jar and Shake vigorously

Step 4: Method 1 Freeze & Shake

1. One method to infuse everclear with cannabis is to place the jar into the freezer for 3 hours.
2. Shake the jar every 30 minutes

Step 5: Strain Cannabis

1. Using a cheese cloth placed over a glass jar.
2. Pour the everyclear cannabis tincture into the jar straining all the buds from the tincture.
3. Allow jar to breath and let any remaining alcohol to evaporate for a few hours.
4. Cover and store Or place in smaller bottles with a dropper.

Step 6: Method 2 Cannabis and Everclear

1. Instead of placing the jar of cannabis and everclear in the freezer for 3 hours.
2. You can allow it to sit out for 4 weeks in a cool dark place.

1. Instead of everclear you can use vodka.

C. Pour vodka over the cannabis enough to cover it
3. Place water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil
4. Place lid on vodka and cannabis jar.
5. Shake vigorously
6. Place jar in boil water. Turn off stove and allow the vodka and cannabis to seep for an hour.
7. Shake often.
8. Strain and drain vodka into another jar.
9. Cover and store in a cool dark place.
