Introduction: How to Make Marbled Soap

In this instructable, I will show you how to marble your own soap. Soap marbling is an easy and fun craft! It only requires five materials plus a microwave and a microwave safe container. Enjoy!

Supplies

- Silicon Mold (Any shape)

- Soap Dye (Any color)

- Popsicle Stick (Works best with skinny popsicle sticks)

- Clear Glycerin Soap

- Paper Towel

- Microwave Safe Container

- Microwave

Step 1: Materials

Gather your materials (listed above).

Step 2: Melting

Melt 5 cubes of clear glycerin soap in the microwave completely. Do this for 20 seconds to start, plus as many additional increments of 10 seconds as you need.

Step 3: Molding

Quickly pour the liquid soap into your silicon mold. You will need to hurry to the next step so that your soap doesn’t start to harden. If it does start to harden, make sure you stir it before it forms a film on the top.

Step 4: Dyeing

Add in a drop of soap dye. You might need to add another drop later. The amount will depend on the size of your silicon mold, but remember that you are only marbling it, not coloring the whole thing, so you won’t need very many drops.

Step 5: Marbling

Take your popsicle stick or toothpick and swirl around the dye using a couple of quick strokes. You don’t want to do too many strokes, or the dye will mix with the soap completely. The dye might spread a little bit after you make your strokes.

Step 6: Cooling

Let your soap stand for 30 – 60 minutes, or until it has hardened all the way through.

Step 7: Finishing

When your soap is fully hardened, carefully remove the silicon mold. Now you have your beautiful, marbled soap!
