How to Make a Paper Crane

Supplies

8.5 x 8.5 piece of paper.

Step 1:

Fold the paper in half end to end on both sides.

Step 2:

when you open it up, you should have a cross that looks like this.

Step 3:

turn the paper so it is like a diamond instead of a square facing you, and pull the left and right point down to the one facing you.

Step 4:

flatten the top, it should look like this.

Step 5:

take the corner, and fold it to the center on both sides.

Step 6:

Take the point at the top, and fold it backward.

Step 7:

unfold steps five and six, and it should look like this.

Step 8:

unfold it.

Step 9:

fold the corners to the center on both sides.

Step 10:

you should end up with this.

Step 11:

Fold that part down, and repeat steps five through eleven on the other side.

Step 12:

it should look like this.

Step 13:

unfold the last fold you made on both sides, you should have a diamond shape.

Step 14:

fold the corners of the diamond to the center on both sides.

Step 15:

you should now have this.

Step 16:

repeat step fourteen on the other side.

Step 17:

turn the paper sideways, and open up the paper there.

Step 18:

You should have this.

Step 19:

Take the bottom and fold it to the top on both sides.

you should now have this.

Step 21:

turn the paper sideways, and open it up just like you did in step seventeen.

Step 22:

It should look like this.

Step 23:

fold the sides around it down on both sides.

Step 24:

you should have this.

Step 25:

take the top of one of the points and fold it downwards.
