Introduction: Jungle in a Jar

This project is easy, fun, and educational! All you need to do is add a little water and put it by a window.

Supplies

1. Pea gravel
2. Soil
3. Large jar (with lid)
4. Small plants
5. A little water

Step 1: Getting Started

You will need to gather your materials, with the pea gravel wash it very well.

Step 2: Using the Gravel

Put up to an inch of gravel in the bottom of the jar.

Step 3: Soil

Add about 3 inches of soil in the jar. On top of the pea gravel.

Step 4: Plants

Pick out some plants that don’t grow very tall. Plant them in the jar.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

Add some water, enough to moisten the soil that’s all. Tighten the lid and you are good to go.
