Introduction: K'nex Single-shot Pistol

This is a pistol-ish thingy that I made just to pass the time. It's my first instructable, so it might not be that great. I don't really feel like measuring how far it goes, but it goes a good-ish distance. Accuracy is o.k. but not the best. It's sort of like a mini version of FruitFly's K'nex gun: it has about the same accuracy, but doesn't shoot as far.

Step 1: Make the Barrel

Pieces:
2 gray rods
1 red rod
1 blue rod
13 orange two-slot connectors
6 gray one-slot connectors
1 red three-slot connectors
3 silver spacers
4 blue spacers
1 rubber band (not too big, not too small)
Some tape

Connect the hammer and main barrel (picture 5)

Step 2: Make the Trigger and Handle

Pieces:
4 white eight-slot connectors
1 green four-slot connector
10 orange two-slot connectors
3 gray 1-slot connectors
1 blue one-slot connector (the kind that looks like the tan
piece, just w/o the tab)
3 yellow rods
2 blue rods
3 white rods
11 silver spacers
3 blue spacers

Make the main trigger and trigger housing (pictures 1, 2, and 3)
Make the handle (picture 4)
Connect the trigger and handle (picture 5)

Step 3: Loading and Firing

If you don't know how to shoot it, what's the point of having a gun?

So, to load, you pretty much hold the handle and pull back the hammer until the safety lock falls into place. The gun needs to be upright to do this automatically, but you can always push the lock into place manually if you want. Then, you slide a yellow, blue, or white rod down the front end of the barrel. Pretty straightforward, I think.

To shoot, you aim and pull the trigger. Veeeeery obvious.

Step 4: Mod #1 - Double Barrel - IN CONSTRUCTION UNLESS U FIGURE IT OUT!!!

I'm showing you how to make this a double barrel gun! Yay... lol.

Pieces
8 yellow five-slot connectors (optional)
14 orange two-slot connectors
2 green four-slot connectors
2 red three-slot connectors
5 gray one-slot connectors
9 blue rods (4 are optional)
2 gray rods
1 red rod
3 white rods
6 silver spacers
6 blue spacers

Follow the pics, and you'll find out what to do eventually.
