Introduction: Laser Cutting Cases for Beginners

This is a simple guide for making CNC cut cases

Step 1: The Design

We wanted to make a case for a small circuit board we had, so we ended up taking measurements and using a site called Makercase to create SVG plans

Step 2: Know the Right Material

Make sure the material you are using is the right thickness, because there was a box we wanted to assemble before and when we used thick acrylic, the nodges didn't fit together well.

Step 3: Creating a Dxf File

For our laser cutter, we needed to convert our file to DXF, so we used an online file converter to do so.

Step 4: Calibration

Depending on the model you have, you will need to upload the design to a program, calibrate the x & y axis of machine, and pick the right material you want before starting the cut.

Step 5: Cut and Assemble

Now you are ready to start up the laser cutter with your materials, and assemble your case
