Make a Decorative Pen Holder

i love to use my old stuff to make new things.its really fun to turn your old stuff into something new.To make this pen holder i used my old shirt and may old denim. You and use other old shirt, t shirt or something else.

lets get started!

Step 1: Materials Needed

Supplies

• Cardboard
• Glue
• Fabric (i used my old jeans and my old shirt)
• Scissor
• Blade knife
• Ruler

Step 2: Making the Base Holder With Cardboard

Cut 4 pieces of cardboard in equal dimensions ...according to the size you wish to make your pen holder.

Fix them up with glue.

Cut a base in measurement of the surface of the holder.

Fix the base with glue.

Step 3: Covering the Base With Fabric

Take your old jeans and cut enough in length to cover the whole sides of the holder. Keep 1 inch extra in length!

Add glue to all sides of the holder like the image.

Wrap the jeans around, keeping an extra 1/2 inch over one side. Start pasting it like the image.

It should look like this.

Fold the edges like this.

Now fix it with the glue.

Afterwards it will look like this.

The box is completely covered in the jeans fabric.

Step 4: Adding Other Fabric

Cut a strip off an old shirt, 1 inch in width. Measure the length enough to cover all the surfaces and keep 1 inch extra.

Prepare the glue around the holder like the image.

Wrap the shirt strip around the jeans as in the image.

Let it dry

Fold the cloth to the inside like the image.

Fold all the sides and let it dry.

Step 5: Adding Details

Add glue to the bottom side of the shirt strip.

You can decorate the outer surface a you wish. I used ropes and yarn.
