From a Discarded old Briefcase to a Magical Replica. In this instructible I will teach you how to create a Movie Replica of your very own. If you love Fantastic Beasts this is an Instructible for you.

Step 1: What You Need.

A Used Leather Briefcase (Any Color Will Do Because We Will Be Painting it Brown)
Acetone
Leather Dye or Spray Paint
Painters Tape
Hot Glue & Hot Glue Gun
Dollar Store Foam board
Safety Gear is Probably a Smart Idea (Rubber Gloves, Mask, Ect)

Step 2: Removing the Leather Polish

Before you paint you need to remove the polish on the leather with Acetone (I do not recommend using nail polish remover). First pour the acetone onto a cloth or napkin then rub the case with the towel till you have the entire thing covered. Then do it again then again until the polish is completely gone.

Step 3: Covering the Metal Pieces

Before you paint you have to cover the metal pieces of the case. Take some of your painters tape and cut small pieces and cover the metal parts bit by bit. Make sure you get as close to the leather as possible without getting the tape on the leather.

Step 4: Painting

Get a tan spray paint, put some cardboard or newspaper down and start spray painting. I put about 3 coats on mine.

Make sure you get all the nooks and crannies around the edges of the case. make sure you cannot see any black if you can put on another coat of paint.

Step 5: Detail Painting

This step will change the color of the leather seams going down the front and back of the case. First take painters tape and line the edges of the seams very carefully so not any paint drips down on the tan then tape paper to the front and back of the case.
