Introduction: One Pot Star Chicken Rice

bachelor or a busy family man we always cook something which is fast and furious,less hassle to cook.and that's why I came up with another dish best for family members of four.it has a oriental touch but not biriyani dish.

Step 1: Ingredients and Chopping

for this dish you need
4 or 5 carrot
3 large potatoes
Half large onion
3 cloves of garlic
one spring onion
half red paper
1 green chilli
9 mushrooms
four chicken legs
2 tea spoon of butter
5 tablespoons of oil
2 tea spoons of salt
500 grams of basmati rice.
3 pinch of cumin powder
7 pinch of cinnamon powder
3 pinch of garam masala.
3 pinch of coriander powder.
3 pinch of ginger powder.
3 pinch of rosemary.
3 pinch of mixed herbs.
3 pinch of black pepper.

chop all the vegetables specially thinly sliced onion and garlic.pepper and chillies as well.potato and carrots has to be bit chunky.
and separate chicken drumsticks from leg and make each leg into three pieces.

Step 2: Fry the Vegetables

put the garlic and rosemary mixed herbs into the suggested warm oil and put the butter along with salt.cook it for four minutes in high flames till onion become brown.once the onion is Brown put the peper and chillies along with all the spices.cook it for four more minutes.then put all of them chickens along with carrot.cook it for 10 minutes.and please don't forget to keep stair it while cooking other wish it going to stick to the bottom.

Step 3: Add Water and Rice

add 800ml water in the chicken and wait till it reach to boiling point.it is also recommend to put warm water because it will save your valuable time.meanwhile we can wash the rice.rice has to be washed for four times untill all the white starch gone.when it's clean put them in strainer and let all the water go and rice will become dry.now along with potato put the rice into the boiling chicken and allow it to cook it for 5 to 6 minutes.you will see the water began to reduce that means rice is sucking water.

Step 4: Cover With Plastic and Put the Lid On

it is very important to make a bellmary to prevent bottom sticking and make the pot air tight.now here is the tips take two frying pan if the pan is old and you are not using it for cooking then congratulations put some water there and put on heat and place the pot on top of it. that's it your bellmary is ready now cut a plastic bag or aluminium foil to cover the top of the pot and place the lid or if you don't have lid then place a frying pan and keep cooking it for 20 minutes.

Step 5: Done

after 20 minutes take all the cover off and allow it to cool for two to five minutes.serve it with salad or any of your favourite sauce.hey it just cooked in one pot and don't forget to involve your family and.kids to cooking .:) enjoy the rest.
