Introduction: Pacman String Lights

I love crafts that are fast, easy, and use supplies that you probably already have. Enter Pacman string lights. Though they work for fandom parties or fandom rooms, I actually used them for an 80s themed party. Good times!

Supplies

- String of Christmas/faery lights

- Scissors or cutting pliers

- Plastic Easter Eggs

- Hot glue gun

- Googly eyes

Step 1: Step 1: Cut Your Easter Eggs to Shape

The first step is dividing the Easter eggs, saving the top more oval piece, and cutting it to shape. Cut a hole in the top where you can insert your Christmas light. Then, gently cut a zig-zag pattern on the bottom of the Easter egg by cutting out little triangles along the edge.

Be sure to save two yellow "bottoms," as they will make the circle for the pac-man himself. Cut out a top hole in one of those bottoms. Then, cut a little bit of the edge off the second bottom, so that it can nest inside to make a sphere.

Step 2: Step 2: Get Glueing

Find your small googley eyes and, using a hot gun, glue them to the ghost shapes. Let dry.

Step 3: Step 3: Add the Lights

Unscrew the plastic bulb cover off the Christmas lights so that you can insert the bulb into the pacman covers. The lights should not be turned on at this point.

What I did was make the ghosts all next to each other, but then leave a few bulbs blank to symbolize the "food dots" in the arcade game. The pacman sphere was then a couple of dots ahead. I repeated this throughout the string of lights.

Once completed, you can either screw the bulb cover back on or just leave them off. Then, hang up your string of lights and turn it on. Enjoy!
