This is a walkthrough of Pokemon fire red. In this walkthrough, I will walk you through the first part of Pokemon fire red.

When you start the game whether you are doing it on an emulator or an actual GameBoy Advanced you will start out in your house. What I like to do is go over to the PC and retrieve the potion. After this, I head out to the edge of the town where Professor Oak will stop you and take you to get your first Pokemon.

I will give you the stats and some info on the starters you can choose.

Step 1: Charmander

Charmander is the right way to go in my opinion and its stats are thus:

sp. Defense-11

I say Charmander is a great pokemon for any beginning trainer. Who you choose though is up to you.

Step 2: Squirtle

Squirtle is a really great pokemon but not quite as good as Charmander and the stats are thus:

Step 3: Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur has a lot of hate put on it and I don't know why. It is a lot easier to train and evolve than the other pokemon and evolves into venusaur at level 32 instead of level 36. and it's stats are here:

Step 4: First Route

the first route is an easy route to get through all you have to do is go through the tall grass and once you have made it through the tall grass you get to pallet town. Once in pallet town, all you have to do is go to the Pokemart and once there the clerk at the counter will give you the package for Professor Oak. take the cliff route back to the lab in your town and give Professor Oak the package which is the custom Pokeball. Once he has this he will give you a Pokedex and some Pokeballs go out to the first route and I would recommend catching a Pidgey if you are going to catch anything I recommend a level 5 because that's the one you are going to be able to level up the most. Then you head past pallet town to the old man who will teach you how to catch pokemon and give you a teachy TV. Last head to the Viridian Forrest.
