Step 1: What You Need

Woodburner
Stencil - I just printed this one out.
Craft cutter
Wood - I had this piece left over from a previous project. All I had to do was sand it down.
Hook - This is so it can be hung up on the wall. I picked these up in a hardware shop.

Step 2: Cutting the Words Into the Wood

Place the stencil over the wood. It might be an idea to tape it down so it doesn't move rather than holding it down. Using the craft cutter, cut along the words, making sure you cut the wood too.

Step 3: Outline in Pencil

This step can be skipped depending on how deep you have cut. I find it easier to see the pattern when it is highlighted with pencil.

Step 4: Start Burning!

Carefully burn the pattern out of the wood. My burning tool got very hot after a while so I had to stop and let it cool down because I kept burning my pinky finger! :(

Step 5: Add the Hook

Place the hook in the back of the wood near the top in the middle.

Step 6: Finished!

I like the bare look of the writing but you could fill it in if you'd prefer. This is my first instructable so I hope it was easy enough to follow! Thanks for reading!
