Introduction: TRIPLE CNC MACHINE
After a few weeks' break, we are back with a new project. In this video, we will try to make a simple cnc machine with you. “ A SIMPLE HOMEMADE TRIPLE MACHINE “. With this cnc machine you will be able to do 3 different jobs.
-Engraving with Dremel,
-Laser cutting
-Drawing with pen
With the new drawings that we designed as a plug-in, it will be quite simple to use cnc. All you have to do is remove the parts we share in the video description from your 3d printer and provide the necessary materials. Our design is quite simple. No unnecessary material. No unnecessary wires.
our design is quite simple. No unnecessary material. No unnecessary wires. In our video, we tried to show how to do our cnc machine in the finest detail. We went step by step.
Step 1: What We Need ?
Hi everyone,
If you have decided to build a CNC Machine, you are right place. But to build, you will need some equipments and materials. So, ask is coming for you. What we need ?
We have divided the materials we need into 3 groups.
1 - Mechanical Parts
2 - 3D Printable Parts
3 - Electronic Parts
Lets see them...
Step 2: Mechanical Parts
As you can see in pictures, we need some mechanical materials. And you can find detail list in below
=GIJON TIJS=
M8 - 12 CM * 1
M8 - 42 CM * 2
M8 - 44 CM * 3
M10 - 44 CM * 1
=LINEAR SHAFTS=
M8 - 50 CM * 4
M8 - 40 CM * 2
M8 - 10 CM * 2
= NUTS =
M3 , M4, M53 M8, M10
= STEPPING MOTORS =
NEMA 17 * 3
= RULMANS =
LM8UU LINEAR BEARING * 12
608ZZ BEARING * 3
STEPPEE MOTOR COUPLER ENCODER * 2
= SCREW & BOLT=
M6 , M4, M3
= WOODS =
60 CM * 40 CM WOOD
52 CM * 35 CM WOOD
Step 3: 3D Printable Parts
we designed some 3d parts. They were drawn on solidworks. And printed with Prusa i3 3D Printer. We added on last steps STL files for your printer. You can find them there.
Step 4: Electronic Parts
And last materials are about electronic.
- Arduino Uno * 1
- Blue laser module laser engraving and cutting TTL module * 1
- V3 Engraver Shield 3D Printer CNC for arduino CNC Shield * 1
- A4988 motor driver * 3
- BDX53 * 1
- 100 OHM resistor * 1
- Fan
Step 5: 3D ANIMATION TO BUILD
if you want to watch 3D animation you can click below video. Will start directly 3D animation time laps.

Step 6: Let's Start Project
Firstly we will built first floor. We need some materials in pictures. We plug 3d wood parts on wood table. Put shaft and tijs to hole on parts. You can see on pic "how?" or watch our video tutorials
timeline is 04:26
Step 7: Header Holder
We designed a header. This header will hold 3 different head for Dremel, Laser and Pencil. What do you need ? in pics. Quite simple design. How to built ? Check pics or video tutorial
time line is 11:15
Step 8: Assembly Header Holder and First Floor
Step 9: Assembly Nema 17 Motor Stepper to Parts
Step 10: Second Floor Assembling
And now we are building last floor. We are getting second wood and screws.
Time line is 17:13
Step 11: Electronic Materials
As you can see in pics. We need again some equipments. Arduino Uno, CNC Shield, A4988, A switching circuit and a fan. Now go to step...
Step 12: Assemble Electronic Materials
We are using simple a circuit. No more wire, no complex. Will using A4988 motor driver for Nema 17. And added a little circuit for switching for Z axis. You can watch our Part 2 video about Electronic Part.
Step 13: And Let's Try
We have done our project. And now we will try a sample. And RESULTS....
Step 14: FILES...
You will find necessary files for this TRIPLE CNC MACHINE project on this step. You can find all files below links for downloads.

Hello, Great job! I'm interested in building this cnc, but I would know if I can use this laser on this build (https://a.aliexpress.com/_msUmHK6).
If yes, what kind of change I have to do? Thank you very much.

hey in this project you have not uploaded the stl file of the holder for plotter. Please upload it, will really help.

Hello all, Please, what software to use to control the CNC milling machine? GRBLLaser works perfectly. I've tried the Universal G-code sender, but it doesn't work well.

tesekkür ederim.z ekseni iniş parcası spinle kullanımında cok bosluk yaptıgı ıcın 2 adet basıp bırbırıne yapıstırdım.inme mesafesi 5cm e dustu ama cok saglam oldu asla esneme yapmıyor ve harika sonuclar cıkıyor.yanlız hala kalem tutucu parcanın stl dosyaları eksık.müsait oldugunda yollarsan cok sevinirim

Are 3 STEPPEE MOTOR COUPLER ENCODER? what is their measure?
Question 2 years ago on Step 5
How to get buy 3d printed parts because i have not 3d solid prited machine please answering my question
Answer 2 years ago
I am able to print the 3d parts. Will trade you cost to print for links to the physical parts , as long as you are not too expensive to ship to?
Question 2 years ago on Step 14
Do you have links where I can purchase the mechanical parts? I am having a hard time locating an online supplier to get exact parts. I have printed most of the STL parts already. Thanks!
Question 2 years ago
How many LM8UU bearings do I need, finally? I see there's mentioned 12 of them, on the photo there are 14, and I didn't finish printing, but I can see on Header Holder there is space to fit 6 more. As far as I can understand, lower rails on lowest axis should fit a total of 6 bearings each, 2 are fit into Header_Holder_Mid, and probably 6 more into the Header_Holder itself? So, do I need a total of 20 LM8UU bearings?

i really really love this project and want to try it. But i cannot find the code for drawing with pen .can anyone clear me with the same.
like we control motors and everything by code, right?
where is it and how to use it.
please guys help me
thanks in advance

It's kinda a lot of the time passed, and probably you already figured that out, but yes - all motion is controlled by code. A lot of smart people used to work hard on open source firmware for Arduino called GRBL, which is for that purpose. It is programmed so it understands G-Code, which is common for most of devices of kind. It is then translated to motion according to configured parameters (i.e. steps/mm). The ways to make G-Code are plenty, just search for it. For 3d printers these are called "slicers" and for laser/pen/cnc there are a lot of applications as well, depending on what you need (3d models or flat surfaces).

Hi
Great job ! 😍
Your 3D parts are in PLA or ABS ?
