Introduction: Tree of Life Wire Pendant
I was inspired for this pendant by this instructable:
https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-Tree-Pendant/
I searched google images for tree of life pendant and then I decided to make my own version. After a bit of trying, this is what I came up with. I hope you like it!
Step 1: What Do You Need?
- wire
- pliers
- small beads
- keychain ring or old keychain
- cord/string to make necklace
Step 2: Keychain Ring
If you have an old keychain, remove everything from the ring.
Step 3: Cut Your Wire
Make sure the wire is longer than the diameter of your ring. Cut eight pieces.
Step 4: The Tree I
Start by wrapping all eight pieces of wire together.
Unwrap one of the pieces of wire till a bit above the middle. Repeat for the other seven pieces of wire.
Do the same at the bottom. The piece that is still twisted is the trunk.
Divide the roots of the tree in four groups of two. Twist the two wires together to make four roots.
Step 5: The Branches
As you can see, the trunk is a bit too long. I lowered the branches by unwrapping them a bit and then wrapping them lower.
Step 6: Position
Take your ring and decide where to place the tree. I decided to go for a place close to the middle.
Wrap the endings of the roots around the ring as shown in the picture.
Step 7: Making Branches
First, straighten the branches a bit and bend them in the position that you like.
Add beads to them and wrap the end around the ring.
Step 8: The Necklace
Your pendant is finished now.
Start with a piece of cord that fits over your head, even when knotted. Knot the ends together.
Put the other end of the ord (so not the knotted side) through the pendant. Put the end with the knot through the part that's already through the pendant (you know what, just look at the pics)
Step 9: Done!
Now your necklace is finished!
I hope you liked this project :)
