I have a lot of earrings, and I wanted to make an efficient organizer for them. So... I decided to repurpose a small vintage suitcase (it probably was a makeup train case) for it.

Step 1: The Trunk, As Found

It was a humble litlle trunk.... the "Little Trunk that Could", to borrow a phrase.

Step 2: Prep the Case

My younger son repaired the lining of the case with our trusty hot glue gun while I was ironing the ribbon I will use in the next step.

Step 3: Glue the Ribbon

Then I used 3 yards of coordinating lace trim that I had ironed, spacing the rows 1.5" apart. I ran each row as one continuous strip, and I secured each end with hot glue. I had a little bit of lace trim left over, so I ran it up the center hinge and secured it in the back of the  display.

Step 4: Decorate With the Bling

Then, I turned the case on its end, and hung the pairs of earrings on it. Ta dah!!!! All done!!!!!
