The advantage of baking bacon in the oven: all of the grease drips out of the bacon and onto the pan, hence reducing greasiness, calories, fat and you will have crispier bacon. When baking bacon, the bacon evenly cooks and allows you to cook more then holds in a skillet! Lining the pan, makes cleanup a breeze!!!

Step 1: Ingredients:

1 lb. bacon, center cut

pepper

brown sugar

Step 2: Baking Sheet:

Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and parchment paper. Put a cooling rack into lined baking sheet.

Step 3: Oven:

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Step 4:

Step 5: Into the Oven:

Place bacon into the oven and bake 400 degrees F.

Step 6: Bake:

Bake for 15-25 minutes, depending on the thickness of your bacon and the desired crispiness. After 10 minutes, rotate the pan, to promote even cooking.

Step 7: Out of the Oven:

Carefully remove the bacon from oven and cool slightly, to avoid burning fingers!!

Step 8: Variations: His Way....

Same as before... Place the bacon slices side by side on the cooling rack, without letting bacon overlapping. Using fresh pepper (I use Extra Bold Indian Black Peppercorn, can be found at https://www.penzeys.com/online-catalog/whole-special-extra-bold-indian-black-peppercorns/c-24/p-1427/pd-s). Grind the pepper over the top of bacon.

Step 9: Children's Way

Same as previously... Place the bacon slices side by side on the cooling rack, without letting bacon overlapping.
Top with brown sugar, not too heavy....

Step 10: Our Way...

Baking at bake 400 degrees F. Bake for 15-25 minutes, depending on the thickness of your bacon and the desired crispiness.

Step 11: Drippings:

When baking bacon, there are no more grease splatters on your stove top, center, or on YOU!!! Also, using a cooling rack and lining the pan, not only is healthier!

Step 12: Cleanup:

And the pan cleanup, well it just can't get any easier, just remove the aluminum foil and toss!!!
