In the last couple of months my mother bothered me because she wanted me to build a tools storage for our backyard.

Honestly I am not an expert maker, nor a real fan of DIY project; but despite my neglecting I had to help my mother finding the solution she wanted.

Step 1: Why PlayWood?

Talking with some friends, they told me about an assembly system that makes easier any DIY work and that doesn’t require particular dexterity or attitude for the realization of wooden structures. They recommended me to buy some common OSB wooden boards of a thickness between 16 and 19 mm (¾” and ⅞”) and to create the structure using PlayWood Connectors 90°.

This system allows the maker to build versatile re-usable, durable modular furniture, easy to fold once you need to change the location or in case of a change in your needs and wishes.

Step 2: What Do I Need?

To sum up, I used few materials:

8 PlayWood Connectors 90°
4 OSB Boards 80 x 30 cm - 31,50” x 11,81”

Step 3: How Do I Build It?

Firstly you have to lay two OSB boards at a distance of 10-15 cm (1”-1,5”); put an angle connector for each corner of each board.

Secondly you have to add a wooden board through the PlayWood assembly system: One per each side. Eventually, you stand your structure and your tools storage is ready to go!

Step 4: What Are You Waiting For?

In less than 5 minutes I realized a pleasant modular tools storage, easy to fold and transport, cheap and sustainable. My mother is happy and so am I!
